X Factor auditions to return to Ireland this year

The X Factor auditions are to return to Ireland for the first time in four years, according to tabloid reports. Irish auditions were scrapped in 2006 followed by the blocking of Irish residents from voting in 2008 after a number of TV voting scandals. However the success of John and Edward means that producers want the show to return and hold open auditions for this year’s series.
