Last weekend’s seating change, which reportedly saw Dannii Minogue get upset after being asked to move places, was due to her and Cheryl being ‘boring’ together, according to reports. Insiders revealed that Simon felt the pair “lacked chemistry”.
The seating move saw Dannii move to the end of the table and Louis move next to Cheryl and closer to Simon.
An X Factor source said: “It was on Simon’s say-so. He wasn’t that happy with the show a week ago. He felt it was a bit boring and decided it needed shaking up a bit.
“So he opted to move Louis up the panel this week and Dannii down to the end.
“He just doesn’t think there is enough banter and interaction between the girls – they lack chemistry.
“It’s certainly ruffled feathers – Louis is quite relaxed about the move but Dannii was not at all happy.”

Now what do you know? The duellists are closer together. Every move made by the producers since the beginning of the live shows seems to be intended to increase the confrontation and irritation elements of the show, and hang the focus on the singers and their search for stardom.
People became hotter under the collar about American Idol the longer the Sanjaya saga was allowed to continue, and as soon as people started getting bored with the whole show, “Miracle!”, Sanjaya was voted off. I read elsewhere that there was a similar case on Denmark’s version of X-Factor, where the irritant suddenly lost votes when people got bored with the whole show.
The same will happen with the Grime, just when it most suits the producers. The real “X-Factor” is the definition of the mix of finalists required for the show’s best interests.
