X factor judge Simon Cowell has banned the contestants from talking to the press about his decision to send home Lucie instead of John and Edward on Sunday’s show, it was reported today. ITV have received some 4,000 complaints over the decision to take the vote to deadlock.

Simon’s own act Olly Murs confessed: “I can’t say anything, they won’t let me.”

When the Daily Star asked Lloyd for a comment on the twins, he replied: “I’m not allowed to say anything, sorry.”

The group have been warned “not to add fuel to the fire” by giving their own views and opinions on the controversy.

An insider said: “Simon will only hold his hands up if he thinks he’s done something seriously wrong. He’s sorry so many people are upset but stands by his decision to send the result to dead lock and see who the nation wanted out.

“When Simon lays down the law only someone stupid would think about breaking it.

“The whole thing is getting a bit out of hand and Simon doesn’t want to make things worse with contestants mouth- ing off about the scandal.

“He runs a tight ship and they have been warned there will be serious consequences if they discuss anything outside the X Factor family.”

  1. Have you seen “The Ballad Of Simon Cowell” on U-Tube???

  2. Amanda, I haven’t, but that will change as soon as I’ve posted this. Thank you for the tip.

Simon’s dictatorial attitude to contacts with the media that he cannot stage manage makes him utterly laughable. I always thought that, however much I may dislike a lot of what he does, Simon Coward was a very savvy guy. Well, folks, he ain’t. What a gigantic own goal! I would be very surprised if his media man max Clifford advised him to do that!!

Did Simon Cow-bell think that would never get leaked to the very media he was trying to keep in the dark? If so, seriously, it was absolutely idiotic.

Simon ought to go for a long retreat in a community of Trappist Monks. Being forbidden to open his mouth would keep his foot out of it for a while, and being dressed as a monk would change his name to Simon Cowl.

I make no excuse for the trivial hilarity: I’ve just been released from the delusion that SCowl was a master of his trade.
