Judges ready to do battle

Judges

With just days to go until series 6 of the X Factor kicks off the judges have revealed how they are ready to do battle with their acts as they prepare for the biggest X Factor yet, with more applying then ever before…

Cheryl is hoping to be mentoring the girls again after she helped last year’s winner, Alexandra, to success. “I obviously love the girls, the whole process of being girly, the clothes, the styling etc. I always give it my very best.

“I’m at a slight advantage to the other judges as I’ve been in the process before (with Girls Aloud) so maybe I can be more considerate at times.”

Simon however, who hasn’t won since Leona Lewis shot to fame back in 2006, thinks he has what it takes this year, telling The Sun, “Most of the time you just know – when you have a really special artist walk on stage it’s immediate. I’m very instinctive and you can feel it, even the audience reaction, the atmosphere just changes. Someone brilliant just walks on stage and you know they’ve ‘got it’.

“Holding auditions in front of the live audiences is testing but also allows certain people and real talent to shine from day one.

Aussie Dannii told the newspaper of the upcoming series, “This year I feel we have all had our own strong opinions and we have each pleaded for another judge to say a ‘yes’ so we can get someone through that we believe in. Hopefully this way, no talent has been left behind.”

“Every category has strong contenders, but I feel passionate about the girls. I believe some stand out performances are about to happen.”

Finally Louis Walsh talked about how the new changes have affected the show. “I love the audience – it’s different every time and there’s nowhere to hide.”

Talking about the judging Panel, Lois added, “It’s working better than ever, and you get four opinions.”
