X Factor tour a 'once-in-a-lifetime chance' says Joe McElderry

X Factor winner Joe McElderry has described the current X Factor live arena tour as a ‘once-in-a-lifetime chance’ as he sings to crowds of over 12,000 people. However Joe has admitted he hasn’t had the best of starts to the tour, with mishaps and problems plaguing the first few dates in Liverpool and Birmingham last week.

“My set has gone wrong every night this week,” Joe confessed to The Sun. “On the first night my microphone didn’t work and I stood there in front of 12,000 people with no sound. I just thought my earphones weren’t working.

“Then I went off stage, came back on, fell on the stairs and cut my leg. Then the screen didn’t open. I am a bit clumsy.

“I dread coming on and saying the wrong name of which city we are in.”

But despite the problems an excited Joe is enjoying every last minute of the tour. He told the paper: “It’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance to be part of an arena tour. I know it might never come again.”
