Cheryl Cole has been named by viewers as their favourite X Factor judge, according to a poll conducted by TellyMix. Newly single Cole attracted a massive 61% of the vote of over 5,000 X Factor fans, significantly more than her own boss and music mogul Simon Cowell, who finished in second.
Attracting just under a fifth of all votes, Cowell was miles away from his Geordie colleague at the top of the poll. Dannii Minogue came third in the vote, with around 1 in 10 of those asked picking the Aussie popstar as their favourite X Factor judge.
Sharon Osbourne, whom Cheryl replaced on the panel in 2008, came fourth with around 5% of the vote. It was therefore Louis Walsh who ended up at the bottom of the vote, attracting just 4% of voters’ interest.
TellyMix editor Stephen Cook said: “It’s clear from the results that Cheryl has won over the nation with her personality on the show, becoming even more popular than her boss Simon Cowell! It’s even more of an achievement when you consider Cheryl only joined the programme two years ago.
“Despite being there since the beginning, Louis Walsh coming in last is not that surprising, choosing Jedward on last year’s show doesn’t seem to have gone done well at all with the public.”
Over 5,100 users participated in the poll which was carried out on our website over the last two months.
