Dannii Minogue is to be ditched as an X Factor judge in this year’s series, a report has claimed. The Aussie judge, who is expecting her first child in the summer, is said to lose her job on the panel when Simon and producers meet up to discuss the new series in LA this week.
X Factor judge Louis Walsh has claimed that 2008 runners up JLS were the ‘real winners’ of their series in an interview with the BBC. The Irish judge, who mentored the group at the time, also revealed he is hoping for more groups in this year’s auditions, adding “It could be the year for a group to win it.”
Hollywood A-lister Tom Cruise has reportedly begged X Factor judge Louis Walsh for a ticket to the live shows this year. The movie legend is a surprise fan of the show, telling Walsh at an Oscars party that he watched the last series online and wanted to know all about it and what went on backstage.

While Dannii won’t be at the auditions, she has said she’d still love to be part of the show in some capacity.
Soap star and former reality TV winner Kym Marsh has revealed that The X Factor would be her dream job, after taking part in ITV’s Popstar to Operastar. The former member of group Hear’Say, formed on Popstars in 2001, said she could empathise with contestants having been there herself before.
