Simon Cowell has blasted the BBC for its scheduling of Strictly against The X Factor for a second year in a row. The two rival reality shows clashed last year, with Strictly losing out every week. This year the programmes are again due to clash on Saturdays and Sundays, The Mirror reports.
Cheryl Cole is reportedly furious at Louis Walsh’s plan to bring back Sharon Osbourne to The X Factor to help him at the judges’ houses stage. According to The Mirror, Cheryl thinks Louis has only bought Sharon back to the show to wind up Aussie judge Dannii Minogue.
Simon Cowell has said he is devastated at having to axe X Factor contestant Shirlena Johnson over worries about her psychological problems. Speaking to The Sun, Cowell said he was upset about the decision but ultimately his team were responsible for the welfare of contestants and Shirlena could not continue.
Sharon Osbourne will reportedly return to the show she was once a judge on in order to take in Judges’ Houses with Louis Walsh. According to The Sun Sharon, who quit the show two years ago back in 2008, will join Louis as the pair whittle down the eight acts in his category to three.
Louis Walsh has said how he “nearly quit The X Factor” after he found out what category he would be mentoring this year. The Irish judge, who has mentored the Groups for four out of the six series he’s taken part in, said that his fellow judges Cheryl and Dannii had it easy, scoring the best categories.
Simon Cowell gave Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue a stark warning according to tabloid reports, telling the female judges the show was not about them and no one is safe from the axe. The Mirror reports that Cowell told the pair to show tough love to their acts if they want to keep their positions on the panel.
The X Factor will return to our screens with a bang tomorrow with judges Simon and Cheryl at war exchanging insults with one another. Cowell brands the Geordie judge a “spoilt brat” and even goes as far as to pour her a saucer of milk as a joke about her “catty” remarks towards this year’s contestants.
