After a successful stint as the title role in The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, X Factor 2008’s Diana Vickers is now preparing to release her debut album this April. The lead single from the album is called Once and from this 30 second preview radio premiere it sounds like an absolutely brilliant track.
Despite being beaten to number 2 last week, Joe has climbed to take the last number 1 of the decade with close to 200,000 sales of his single The Climb. Rage Against The Machine held onto second place while Cheryl Cole’s new single entered the top 5.
X Factor 2008 winner Alexandra Burke has revealed she doesn’t know who will win and that all of the final three this year are “good”. Burke, who performed with Beyonce in last year’s final, also said she thought this year’s duet line-up is ‘outstanding’ and praised her mentor Cheryl Cole.
Girl group Bad Lashes have revealed they believe Cheryl should mentor the groups during next year’s show. Bad Lashes took part in last year’s live shows but were voted out in the first show, receiving only 1.5% of the vote.
Last year’s X Factor winner has revealed she believes this year’s winner will be either Olly Murs or Danyl Johnson. The Bad Boys singer has dismissed the fact that both have been in the bottom two which, based on previous series, would indicated neither can win.
Rachel Hylton (remember her?) from X Factor 2008 has hit out at her then mentor Dannii Minogue for not supporting her and favouring Ruth Lorenzo. The 28-year-old has revealed that Dannii “didn’t know what to do” with her and that she is “gutted” for herself.
2008 X Factor Finalist Laura White will be releasing her debut single You Should Have Known tomorrow. The 22-year-old was kicked out of last year’s show in week 5 in what was seen by many as a shocking and incorrect result. Since leaving however Laura has been trying to make it on her own and releases her debut single tomorrow.
X Factor 2007 star Leona Lewis will be performing her brand new single Happy on the live results show scheduled for November 8th. Lewis’ new album, Echo, will be released two weeks later and is predicted to top the charts after the success of her last album, Spirit.
Last year’s X Factor runners up, boy band JLS, are due to perform on the X Factor in week 4 to promote their new single Everybody In Love which will be released that weekend. Also performing new material will be rock band Bon Jovi.
Austin Drage, who finished 9th in last year’s X Factor contest, has branding X Factor duo John and Edward “insult” to professional singers as they prepare for a third week on the show. Despite the comments however the blonde pair are finding increasing public support.
