X Factor 2009 finalist Lucie Jones is to record on a charity record to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. The 18-year-old will join Kym Marsh, Danielle Lloyd, Sonique and actress Caroline Quentin among others on the track, a cover of Cyndi Lauper’s track Girls Just Wanna Have Fun which will be released April 26.
Olly Murs is set to sign a six-figure record deal with Epic, it has been reported. The runner up is in talks with the label who turned last year’s runners up JLS into a chart success. The news comes after it was revealed last week that Simon Cowell’s Syco label would not be signing anyone other than Joe.
Twins John and Edward will be releasing their debut single ‘Under Pressure’ for download on January 31st and to buy in shops on February 15th. The single also features Vanilla Ice who they performed the song with live on the National Television Awards this evening where The X Factor won the gong for Best Talent show.
