Jamie is the best X-Factor candidate I can remember. If he has a weakness, relatively speaking, it’s that Simon is not able to mentor the progress of a Rock singer any further than he has already taken Jamie. Jamie’s Get Your Rocks Off is at least as good as any other version, and he did put his stamp on it. If Simon thinks development consisting entirely of more and more spectacular dance routines conjured up by Brian Friedman will be good enough, Jamie will soon be struggling. Time to bring into the support team someone who understands “Rock as live entertainment” from the inside, Simon.
Forecast: Jamie will not win X-Factor because he doesn’t connect with the manic-voting people: teens and pre-teens, mainly girls. Simon will sign Jamie up with a “real-world” recording contract anyway, as soon as Louis’ obsession with his version of the X-Factor rule-book is distracted by a singing Irish Terrier, or something similar. Consequently, of all this year’s hopefuls, Jamie will win the fight to have the best career by KO at the first album. American Idol candidate Chris Daughtry came 4th in 2006, but that hasn’t stopped him having a super-star career. Jamie’s path will be similar to Daughtry’s: fair to middling results from the show, massive career after the show.
Flow with the ‘Fro!!!!
No, no, no. Jamie doesn’t “connect” with the majority of the population, voting or otherwise. He’s an average singer who doesn’t know how to entertain. Simon doesn’t know what to do with him and won’t be giving him a record deal. Jamie hasn’t developed at all in this competition and is on the way out. Hurrah, shortly followed by those poor Irish boys before they break under the pressure.
Ha ha, my predication came true. Au revoir Jamie!
jo woods.. jamie is the best entertainer the particular stage has ever seen.. if you don’t get entertained that’s by all means your problem, not his. no matter whether he’s out or in, he’s just great and i (and i am sure a lot of people like me) will seek his songs.. by the way i just found this site by accident while surfing net- trying to find some of his songs.. sooo, give your best shot ;) from all of your sarcasm he loses nothing… he will be famous and successful ;) unlike u, i guess :D is that what pisses u off? :D :D
