Olly Murs is set to sign a six-figure record deal with Epic, it has been reported. The runner up is in talks with the label who turned last year’s runners up JLS into a chart success. The news comes after it was revealed last week that Simon Cowell’s Syco label would not be signing anyone other than Joe.

Simon Cowell has admitted that fellow judge Cheryl Cole is ‘one of the best’ he has ever worked with and he’s ‘annoyed’ with her success. Speaking to new! this week, Cowell said that Cheryl had a ‘rare talent’ but refused to confirm whether she would be taking part in X Factor USA.
Simon has teamed up with some big stars to produce a charity single for the DEC Haiti Earthquake Appeal and here is the video of the single which is out now. The song, a cover of REM’s Everybody Hurts, features a number of former X Factor stars and other high profile music artists and will go on sale in stores on Monday.
X Factor twins John and Edward would do really well in TV, says X Factor Creative Director Brian Friedman, who has been working with the pair on their new video. Speaking to entertainment website DigitalSpy, Friedman said the pair would do well in something like Glee.

X Factor’s Jedward have released their debut single, a cover of Queen’s Under Pressure, to download. The song, which features rapper Vanilla Ice, was performed on show and at the National Television Awards earlier this month. The pair are already number 1 on the Irish iTunes chart and are expected to have similar success in the UK. Read on for the video

The lead single from the album is called Once and from this 30 second preview radio premiere it sounds like an absolutely brilliant track.
Insiders and Cheryl Cole’s PR firm have rubbished a recent Daily Mail article which claimed the Girls Aloud star was planning to quit to have a child. Pregnant or not, the judge is said to have vowed to stay on the show, with Simon being more than happy to work around her.
