The eighth series of The X Factor 'to start in November 2011'

The eighth series of The X Factor will not start until November 2011, according to tabloid reports. Plans for the future series are already well underway with auditions, usually held in February onwards, currently being put back until the summer. It’s understood the late starting date will allow Cowell to focus on the launch of the US version of the programme.
